HostingPortal began in 1997. Our directory was established to provide a neutral forum where users can submit reviews and ratings about web hosting companies based on their experience. It is our hope that it will become a valuable resource to webmasters in search of web hosting and it will also help hosting companies to improve their services based on the feedback they receive.

How is HostingPortal.com different from other hosting directories?

HostingPortal.com relies exclusively on customer feedback. We do not invent, alter or interfere with ratings in any way. We accept no advertising banners and the only form of advertising we offer to web hosts are the clearly marked text ads on the right-hand side of our web pages.

Furthermore, web hosts do not have to be pay to be listed. Hosts are added to our database either following a customer request or a web host can sign up to be listed. There is no opt-out option. Therefore, it is important that hosts have the opportunity to respond to customer reviews and maintain an updated company profile. Complimentary accounts are provided to all hosts that request it.
